6th National Tenpin Bowling Championship
was concluded yesterday with struggling performance by the players
of Sindh entitling Doubles Event by promising Team of Mr. Aleem Agha
& Rashid Ali along with a Silver Medal in Open Singles by the
defending champion Rashid Ali. The Championship witnessed a mixed
expertise in Tenpin Bowling from all the regions of Pakistan which
ensured the purpose of the National platform.
SINGLES: Islamabad's bowler
Zafar Iqbal got the
first position with 367 score and received a cash prize of Rs 50,000
along with a gold medal while
Rashid ali from Sindh
got second position with 356 score, he received Rs 20,000 rupees and
a silver medal, Saleem Baig
remained third with 323 score, he was awarded Rs 10,000 cash along
with a bronze medal.
DOUBLES: Aleem
Agha and Rashid
Ali got the first
position with their enthralling performance,
Faisal Malik and
Ali Shah finished second
while Inam and
Aftab got third
position, Waleed Mukhtar
and Kamran Mughal of
Sindh finished at fourth position.
TEAM EVENT: In the Team event category: Islamabad B
Team Saleem Baig, Khalid Saeed Butt, Zafar Iqbal, M. Hussain Chatta
and Ali Shah defeated the Islamabad A team comprising of
Ijaz-ur-Rehman, Saqib, Malik, Muhammad and Aftab with a total score
of 1787 thus becoming the crowned champions and Sindh Tiger.

secure 3rd position with total score of 1761
AMATEUR:
Inam from Islamabad got first position with a total score of 340
in two games while Atta
Muhammad from Baluchistan remained second with total score of
274 as Sadaqat Ali from
Sindh got 269 points and secure third position and
Waleed Mukhtar from
Sindh secure 4th Position.
DEAF EVENT: Nasir Dar
got 1st position; Hamza Sirhindi stood at 2nd position and while
Adnan Ghani secure 3rd position with total score 519 pins
The Chief Guest Senator Talha Mehmood,
Chairman of Senate Standing Committee on Interior delivered his
views at the prize distribution ceremony Talha said, “I am very
thankful to Pakistan Tenpin Bowling Federation Secretary
Ijaz-ur-Rehman who has given me the honor to be the guest of the
honor, he appreciated the performance of the players and said,
winning or losing doesn't matter the thing that matters most is how
you perform and the sports must be played in true spirit.”
Senator Talha slammed Pakistan
Sports Board for denying the Tenpin Bowling Federation of their due
right of affiliation despite fulfilling all the legal obligations
and said, “I will talk with the concerned persons and assured his
all-out support to the federation in this regard”
He said, it is quite unjustified act of PSB not to give affiliation
to Tenpin Bowling Federation who have already got the same from all
the world organizations. He further mentioned that Bowling is
getting popularity with each passing day in the country and
Pakistani bowlers have done the country proud by achieving more than
satisfactory results in the international events.
The Chief Guest Senator Talha Mehmood
honoured the winners with prizes and medals among the players and
announced a cash incentive of rupees fifteen thousand for the
Pakistan Tenpin Bowling Federation as a token of appreciation for
their achievements and promised to be always available whenever the
federation requires him.
“The National Championship represented the different
expertise in Tenpin Bowling among all participating region in each
respective category which was experienced at a single platform. The
championship became a proven opportunity to generate solidarity
among the Tenpin Bowling community in Pakistan and to exchange the
skills among each other to become more competitive for the
International Event. STBA with always be the first voice for such
worthy efforts by the Federation. I convey my deep affections
and well wishes to the entire Winning Squad and special appreciation
to all the participating youngsters who have in command the future
of Pakistan”,

Aleem Agha & Rashid of Sindh knocked Doubles Title in 6th
National Tenpin Bowling Championship played at Mega zone Bowling
Club, Islamabad
Sindh conquered the first TITLE of
"Doubles Event" due to the victorious performances by Aleem Agha &
Rashid Ali from Sindh secure 1st position with total combined score
761 and 192.25 average score; While M. Ali Shah and Faisal Malik got
2nd position with 700 total combined pins dropped and 175.0
average.
Final Rounds of Singles are yet to be
played in which Defending Champion Rashid Ali of Sindh is on lead.
"I congratulate Sindh Squad for
showing immense performance and outstanding skills of the bowling by
winning the First TITLE for Sindh. I am hopeful with player to bring
back the National TITLE once again"

KHARACHI- The
STBA announced the threatening squad of 12 enthusiastic players
which will represent the Sindh in
6th National Tenpin
Bowling Championship 2011 from 27th – 29th October 2011 at
Mega zone Bowling Club, F-9/ Fatima Jinnah Park, Islamabad.
The Team Sindh includes the Defending Champion
Rashid Ali, Aleem Agha,
Ahmed Sheikhani -Gold Medalist- 14th Sindh Games 2011, Shabbir
Laskarwala, Khawaja Ahmed, Naseem Ahmed, Naeem
Ibrahaim , Rober Sangara and promising youngsters
include, , Kamaran Mughal , Waleed, Saqib and Sadakat. The Teams
Sindh Tiger & Sindh Dolphin will be combat in team event in the
national championship.

Sindh Tenpin Bowling Association (STBA)
established its performance oriented framework to encourage the
training sessions among players at Hit Zone, Arena to exercise their
skills for the combat in 6th
National Tenpin Bowling Championship 2011. The Pre-Championship
practice will provide self-assessment to the players and ensure
strong coordination among them to excel in Singles and Team event in
National Championship.
“Players of Sindh are again well equipped with
their high moral and strengthened skills to defend their National
Title. Most importantly STBA
has encouraged the players to maintain seriousness toward the
championship and focus toward the victory. I would like to advise
players that competitions are not for Fun, it is a matter of your

“Pakistani Players are much talented
and have the potential to play at International level in order to
enlighten the name of our beloved country in the world. This
Championship is organized to promote bowling in Pakistan and provide
a platform to the mature bowlers and conquer the youngsters who are
the future of Pakistan to prepare them to play at International
level”
said Ijaz-ur-Rehman, Secretary General, PTBF
while addressing Media.
Players will be awarded with valuable cash prizes and prestigious trophies and medals. In Singles Event, Cash prize of Rs. 50,000/-, 25,000/- 15,000/ and 5,000/- along with Medals will be awarded to 1st , 2nd, 3rd and 4th Position holders respectively. While in Doubles Event Cash Prize of Rs. 20,000/- and 10,000/- with Medals will be given to 1st and 2nd position holders. In Team Event Cash Prize Rs. 30,000/- with Medals, will be awarded to 1st position holders. In Amateur Event, Cash prize of Rs. 10,000/-, 5,000/- and 3,000/-along with Medals will be awarded to 1st, 2nd and 3rd position holders.
The Opening ceremony of the championship will be held on 27th October 2011 at Mega zone Bowling Club, Islamabad at 4.00 pm or 16.00 hours.
The initiative of the federation in continuously conducting the national championship is always worthwhile to provide a national platform for a competitive environment. Players of Sindh is again on their tiger training session to defend their National TITLE once again and prove their distinction among rest of the region by delivering the consecutive meritorious performance” said Romis Ali, Joint Secretary, PTBF & General Secretary, STBA
