Ahmer clinches the Title of STBA Winter Bowling Tournament 2014

Sindh Tenpin Bowling Association (STBA) hosted STBA Winter Bowling Tournament 2014 today at  Royal Rodale Club, DHA, Karachi. The joyful event was held under the categories of Open Singles, Amateur & Trio Event and concluded with the exclusive Award to Ahmer Abbas Saldera for being the first ever player in Pakistan, marking 300 score (perfect Game) in a game.

OPEN SINGLES: 16 years old Ahmer Abbas Saldera, lead the tournament with the outstanding average of 211, received PKR 10,000/- cash along with Winner Trophy, while Zahid Mehmood was the runners-up with average 180, received PKR 7000/- cash with a trophy. Aleem Agha secured 3^rd position (178 Avg.) and received PKR 5000/- cash with a trophy.

AMATEUR SINGLES: Yasir Manzoor, had the victorious end and received PKR 5,000/- cash along with the Winning Trophy, while Faizan Tariq was the Runners-up, received PKR 3,000/- cash with a trophy. Osma Ayoub secured 3^rd position and received PKR 2,000 cash with a trophy.

Champions of Amateur Singles

TRIO (3 Men Team): The event concluded with an aggressive game where the team of Ahmer Abbas Saldera, Farhaj Ahmed & Pacer secured 1^st position, received PKR 6,000/- cash along with the Gold Medal. The 2nd Position was obtained by Farhan Raiz, Muhammad Owais & Asif Shah, received PKR 3,000/- cash prize with Silver Medal.  The 3rd Position was secured by Aleem Agha, Dr. Ali Mohsin & Faizan Tariq, received PKR 1500 cash and Bronz Medal.

STBA paid season’s greeting to its members by treating with this joyful event. The Chief Guest Asif Mehmood, Director, The Royal Rodale Club honoured the Award Ceremony as a Chief Guest accompanied by Mr. Aleem Agha, Sr. Vice President of STBA, Muhammad Amin Nasir, Vice President, and Romis Ali, General Secretary, STBA. During the address to the bowling society, Mr. Asif Mehmood announced his generous support to bowling through his collaboration with STBA in organizing such tournaments and offering valued packages for the training of bowlers, special packages to STBA members and future exciting events.   He distributed Cash Awards & Trophies to winning participant. The executives of STBA congratulated and warmly welcomed the new management of Royal Rodale Club.

PERFECT GAME AWARD: On this occasion, an exclusive “Perfect Game” award was announced by STBA which was awarded to Ahmer Abbas Saldera with the title of being a  consistence Average Youth  Player to score a Perfect Game in the history of bowling in Pakistan. The association encouraged the bowler with a valuable Cash prize 100,000 rupees through generous 50,000 Cash reward from Romis Ali General Secretary of STBA  and 50.000 Cash from sponsor Fire Stop. Mr. Abbas Saldera and STBA announced a separate event titled “Saldera All Pakistan Tenpin Bowling Championship” to pay tribute to this young progressive player, to be held in the last week of April, having a sponsored value including prizes  of up to 1 Million.

While talking to Media, Romis Ali, General Secretary, STBA said, “We call this event a winter treat to our bowlers. However, this event reserved the historic importance as STBA awarded its progressive bowler Ahmer Abbas Saldera on his remarkable performance of scoring first ever Perfect Game in Pakistan. Such performances are a hopeful vista of the growing talent of bowling in Pakistan”.  

Mr Aleem Agha also announced a lucky draw to give the evening a fabulous end, and registered members were given high importance and encouragement for their participation to create a lively and enjoyable environment after a tough competition.  The winners were given Gift Hamper from Vision Venture & STBA.  He concluded the ceremony by giving a note of thanks to the participants, honourable guests and media for their dedicated support which resulted in the success of the event
